Paul Kaspar Helbling and Lorenz Helbling are bound by citizenship in Rapperswil and lives in Shanghai, albeit at different times. Paul Kaspar Helbling lived as a young entrepreneur from 1932 to 1947 in Shanghai and other Chinese cities. IG Halle shows his documentary photographs taken in China in juxtaposition with art works from contemporary China. Lorenz Helbling is the founding director of the world renown ShanghART Gallery in Shanghai.
